On the rare occasion I give a shit what’s posted on facebook, I log in and read this from Bret Contreras – one of the smartest strength coaches in the cesspool of an industry.
I’ll tell you one thing that I’m sick and tired of…the attitudes of most U.S. strength coaches who have online presences. Start paying attention to how divisive many of them are. To me it’s all insecurity-based, and sadly, the public loves this bravado. Most are too ignorant to be aware of what they don’t know. This bullying mentality needs to end, but it starts with the public demanding more.
He hits the nail on the proverbial head with this one…
On to today…
I am still getting used to the shirt, I can’t wait to really learn it so I can get one that fits properly. But until then its awesome to know that my numbers are progressing fast and I can’t wait to compete in March.
Bench
165 x 2 x 3
231 x 3
253 x 3
319 x 1
2 board press with shirt
385 x 1 – didn’t touch
455 x 1
496 x 1

The bar was moving but I dropped and pressed again and that would be a no lift anyway so the spotters racked it. No sense in counting a lift that would be red-lighted at a meet.
4 board close grip raw
319 x 10
CG bench raw
319 x 7
Chest supported rows both handles back to back
115 x 3 x 10 each
Rear delt flyes with upper body parallel to ground
35 x 3 x 10
Rope pressdowns
130 x 2 x 10
I have said it before and I’ll say it again. I am fortunate to be able to train with a crew of elite lifters. Three of our team have pro totals and have been around the PL block a few times. Being around an environment like that is incredibly helpful to my goals and they go out of their way to make sure we are all using proper technique and are improving.
