Yes, we all are.
You are stuck home, either laid off or working from home. Your gym is closed for the time being, uncertain when it will reopen. Your routine is thrown to the fire, and you have to create a new one. By the time it takes you to settle into the new routine, the stay at home order will most likely be lifted and a small sense of normalcy will return to a changed world, and you have to find another new routine.
That is stressful. We are creatures of habits, and creating new ones adds stress to the mix of viruses, work uncertainty, gym closures, and people hoarding food.
How so?
Doesn’t sticking to an eating plan or training plan require stress since it’s “restrictive”?
No, and allow me to explain why in a few simple answers.
Your gym is closed? Bodyweight workouts will hold you over for a while. Keep reading and I got something cool for you.
The store is out of chicken breast, again, because people are hoarding it? Ground turkey, pork loin, flank steak, or a round roast are all decently lean enough and easy to cook. Order a crockpot if you don’t have one, add some spices, and throw some roasts in there all day. I make flank steak constantly in our crock pot and it’s one amazing meal.
You can’t find toilet paper? Well, I don’t know what to tell you other than bidets are still available on Amazon from what I see.
We are meant to adapt, our species has survived though war, famine, and pandemic. We have brought cities from stone and flatland, technology from simple substances, and empires from dirt.
You and I are not Alexander the Great, but we are of the same species.
Don’t add stress to stress by allowing yourself an out of your personal goals.
Each day is a new day, every direction can be turned back to the right way, you can find all the cliches in the world, but what it takes is one thing from you.
That’s it. You matter. In a time when all of the world is fearful about what’s to come, what will be changed, and what we will do to prevent it in the future.
The world moves on, and you must move with it.
You matter. Take care of you, control your own outcome, be what makes us human and thrive.
Now…

Bodyweight isn’t a gym, but it’s something to keep you busy, and they are not easy workouts by any means. They will challenge you, push you, and make you earn the end of them.
Email me, and I will get your back on at least one thing to take a little stress off of your plate.
